My name is Amy Strecker and I work at ITT Technical Institute in the Sacramento,CA region. ITT has a Gaming Development program that one can achieve an AA degree in and I wanted to contact your organization so that our graduates have a networking source and possible connection to the Bay Area for job leads and gaming affiliations. Is the best way to join Silicon Valley IGDA by using the social networking sites such as; Facebook? Are there membership fees? Is there a monthly calendar of events/speakers to obtain?

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is James Keane and I lead tech innovation efforts worldwide for a large consumer products company. I’ll be traveling to the Silicon Valley area the last week of June (June, 29th, 30th, and 1st of July) for a variety of meetings and have a particular interest in learning more about the gaming industry.
I was hoping someone might be able to direct me to a gaming startup company, or two, that I could meet with while I’m in the area, perhaps one afternoon. I’m interested to learn what is on the horizon for gamin, what it feels like at a gaming startup (I’ll be traveling with an ‘intern’ of our company), and how companies like ours might leverage what’s coming in gaming for advertising and promotional opportunities.
